It's Rachel McAdams Time!

Finally, summer break! Yeah, after all of hectic things for this semester, I can take a break.

Well, I stock many movies in my lovely lapy to enjoy my summer-stressless time. I would like to review movies that I've seen which Rachel McAdams became the main role. Why Rachel McAdams? I just found out in imdb (you know that source is the trusted source of movie review) about romantic movies. I really want to spend my summer with romantic stories such as (500) Days of Summer or anything like that. So, check it out!

1. The Notebook (2004)

This love story begins with the old man who is called Duke asks the old lady to hear the story book. And then, it takes to old days in June 6th, 1949. That was when Noah (Ryan Gosling) met Allie (Rachel McAdams) in the carnival. Allie was spending her time in that town for summer. Noah was chasing her and do whatever to attracted Allie's attention. Until Allie really gave herself to Noah.

That was romantic how they spent their summer with full of love. Allie with her wealthy family, and also Noah with his struggle for live with 40 sen/hour in lumber yard. Of course as Romeo-Juliet kind of story, Allies's parents prohibited her to close with Noah, but what can she did if she really love that boy? Noah who knew his position throw away his love and said to Allie that this summer love was over. Oh, sadly, but I like when they love each other with their own way.

They didn't agree on much. In fact, rarely agreed on everything. They fought all the time. And they challenged each other everyday. But despite their differences, they had one important thing in common. They were crazy about each other.

In other hand, Allie's mom declared that Allie had to back to Charleston and continue her live. But, she didn't want to. She really wanted to be with Noah, but last night they fought and that was over. So, she searched for Noah in lumber yard, but Noah wasn't there. So, she asked Fin, Noah's friend that they were not over, she loved him so much. Then, she went. When Noah came, Fin said what Allie said and Noah chased her, but it was too late, she was gone.

Then, they were distance apart. Noah said sorry and always sent a letter everyday to Allie, but no replied. Her mother was always hide Noah's letter so, Allie didn't know that he always waited her. They did their own lives. Day by day without passionate love as they did in summer. Then, Noah stopped to sent letter after 365 no reply letters.

Well, actually this movie is kind of past-future story. Then, actually the man who read the story book is Noah and the old woman who listen is Allie. Allie is sick, so she can't remember anything, it's called dementia. So, Noah with his belief always do this everyday to read the story and hope Allie will remember. Doctor said that it will never be heal, but Noah always trying to make his sweetheart remember even for 5 minutes.

And yes, it totally makes me melting because of this romantic idea. The man who wait for the woman, even the woman doesn't remember him, but always love her just the way she is. He never gives up, and even for small chance he will do for it. That's the power of love.

For the ending? It's better for you to watch it yourself. I don't want to make spoiler, but believe me, it's one of my favorite ending :).

2. The Time Traveler's Wife (2009)

It's the story about the man who has genetic disorder so he can do time travel and his wife. The man, Henry DeTamble (Eric Bana) suddenly disappeared and left his clothes when he does time travel. Indeed, when he did time travel, he totally naked, so sometimes he got trouble because of this.

Then, in 1991, Henry met Clare Abshire (Rachel McAdams) who said that she knew him for her entire life. She was really happy met Henry and explained that since she was child, Henry always visited her and accompanied her to played in the yard. Then, their relationship began.

After that, their relationship began more serious, then they decided to married. The thing was, when Henry was really close with his vow on wedding, he suddenly disappeared. Gomez (Ron Livingston), Henry's friend when with him at that time,  who knew his disorder was panic. But, suddenly, the older Henry appeared and replace Henry's place.

How can I'm not panic if I'm in Gomez place. That was the worst thing about time travel, you will miss you time in the present. And this is wedding, Oh My Gosh!

And this always happened almost every time. When, Clare was talking about something, then suddenly Henry disappeared. And of course, sometimes it annoyed her.

Henry always told her about his time travel who met her child version, her teenager version, and so on. He was enjoy met old version of his wife.

But, the conflict was raised when Clare wanted to had child, but she was miscarriages. It made Henry sad and decided to did vasectomy. Henry said that in the future, he never saw their child. It made Clare really sad. She was really regret for his decision.

So, what's next? I remain you that I don't like spoiler. So, watch it your self. But, after all, it was little bit confusing for the past and the future. If I were Clare, I would like to scream why this kind of thing happen to me. But then, she really love his husband and accepted everything about him. So, romantic.

3. The Vow (2012)

This love story was inspired by the true event. The real couple was Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, but also there's a change in the plot to make it dramatic. I like story which inspire for the true story, it means that the story is not totally too much or whatever, haha.

Then, here we go.

Leo Collins (Channing Tatum) and Paige Collins (Rachel McAdams) went to movie theater, but unfortunately they got car accident which made Paige forgot about her husband. This was challenge for Leo to made her fell in love again with him. He wanted to keep the vow in the wedding. The last time Paige remember was five years ago when she stayed in law school and also with her happy-wealthy family and before she met Leo.

For the first time, Paige didn't believe that she was married woman, until Leo gave her evidence, her voice mail to him. But, actually she just believed her family. There were reasons why she left her family and broke up with her fiance, Jeremy (Scott Speedman), but she still didn't get the point.

She also didn't believe that she had art project and mentioned that last time she had dream to be artist was when she was senior high. But, she chose to lived with Leo and hoped her memories would came back soon.

But, it didn't work well. She didn't feel comfort for her live with Leo. Everything seemed strange for her. She always came back to her family. She was also seeing her ex-fiance and her old friends.

When, her sister, Gwen (Jessica McNamee) had a wedding, she was back to her family. And Leo asked her to went to date again with him. She accepted it, even felt not really sure. Then, they were date in the lake in the middle of the night. Both of them, went to lake and laughed together.

Then, she was curious what exactly happened and really wanted her memories would came back soon. Why she acted differently, there must be something which made her changed.

The most romantic ones when Leo always try hard to make her fall in love again with him. He doesn't want to tell why she left her family, because he believes that's not right to make her by his side. He wants to make her fall in love with him just the way he is. He loves his wife also just the way she is and never judges her. He accepts all of condition of his wife and he will go if his wife doesn't want him anymore. He will always love her and want to make her happy. Oh...

Those are the movies from Rachel McAdams as the main role. Why Rachel McAdams? I thought I answered in my beginning statement, but it seems not, huh? Well, Rachel McAdams was one of excellent actress. She can be so hardly fall in love in The Notebook, has good chemistry also with the other main role. Then, in the last, she mostly play in the romantic-drama. You know that I'm searching for romantic-drama movie in this summer? So, that's why, haha.
